In a decisive Week 9 matchup, the Atlanta Falcons topped the New York Giants with a final score of 35-17. This victory solidifies the Falcons' standing as they move deeper into the 2027 season, while the Giants look to regroup after a tough loss. Michael Penix Jr. delivered an impressive performance for Atlanta, throwing for 255 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his command of the offense. Meanwhile, Zachariah Branch was a dual threat, racking up 84 rushing yards while also leading all receivers with 113 yards. His dynamic play was crucial in keeping the Giants' defense on their heels. Defensively, the Falcons made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor, highlighted by Avieon Terrell's interception. The Giants' Justin Eboigbe recorded 1.5 sacks, but it was Atlanta's ability to capitalize on turnovers that ultimately paved the way for their victory. With the Falcons taking control in the second half, they effectively outlasted any hopes of a Giants comeback.
