In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Arizona Cardinals topped the Detroit Lions 24-7, solidifying their position in the early season standings. With both teams vying for momentum, this victory was crucial for the Cardinals as they look to make a push for the playoffs. Leading the Cardinals' offensive charge was quarterback Carson Beck, who threw for 235 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to manage the game effectively. Wide receiver Marvin Harrison Jr. was a standout target, racking up 95 receiving yards and providing a reliable option for Beck throughout the contest. On the ground, Jahmyr Gibbs led the Lions with 60 rushing yards, but it was clear that the Cardinals' defense stifled Detroit's offensive creativity. The Cardinals' defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, with Dadrion Taylor-Demerson recording four total tackles to lead the way. The turning point came late in the second quarter when the Cardinals forced a turnover, allowing them to extend their lead and put the game out of reach for Detroit. Despite a late-game interception by Kelee Ringo for the Lions, the Cardinals' strong defensive effort ensured their victory was secure.
