In a commanding performance, the Pittsburgh Steelers triumphed over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a final score of 49-21 in Week 6 of the 2026 season. The Steelers, looking to maintain momentum in the playoff race, showcased a dominant offensive display that left the Buccaneers struggling to keep pace. Patrick Mahomes was the standout star for Pittsburgh, throwing for an impressive 379 yards and six touchdowns, highlighting his elite quarterback play. Tyreek Hill was a force in the receiving game, racking up 222 yards and finding the end zone, while Derrick Henry added a solid 66 rushing yards to the mix, proving that the Steelers' offense can attack from multiple angles. On the defensive side, Marcus Jones made a significant impact with two interceptions, helping to stifle any hope of a Buccaneers comeback. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Jones's first interception set up a touchdown drive that extended the Steelers' lead to 28-7, effectively putting the game out of reach for Tampa Bay. Despite a few bright spots, including Jermod McCoy's four tackles and Nolan Smith Jr.'s sack, the Buccaneers couldn't match the Steelers' relentless offensive onslaught.
