In a tightly contested Week 3 matchup, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars 24-21, improving their record early in the 2026 season. Both teams were looking to establish momentum, but it was the Patriots who ultimately secured the victory in a game that kept fans on the edge of their seats. C.J. Stroud led the Patriots' offense with a steady performance, throwing for one touchdown while managing the game effectively. However, it was Christian McCaffrey who stole the spotlight with a dominant ground game, rushing for 134 yards and proving to be a key factor in the Patriots' offensive success. Darren Waller also made a significant impact, racking up 88 receiving yards to keep the chains moving. Defensively, the Patriots were anchored by Bobby Okereke, who recorded eight total tackles, showcasing their ability to contain the Jaguars' offense. The turning point came when Tremaine Edmunds intercepted Stroud, giving Jacksonville a brief glimmer of hope before New England's defense tightened its grip, allowing the Patriots to hold on for the win. This victory not only boosts New England's confidence but also sets the tone for their upcoming challenges.
