The Kansas City Chiefs kicked off the 2027 season with a commanding 46-27 victory over the Denver Broncos, showcasing their offensive firepower in a high-stakes divisional matchup. With both teams eager to set the tone for the season, the Chiefs proved they are ready to defend their title with a dominant performance. Patrick Mahomes was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for an impressive 410 yards and a staggering seven touchdown passes, a remarkable start to his campaign. Xavier Worthy was his top target, racking up 148 receiving yards, while Kenneth Walker contributed with 80 rushing yards, further solidifying the Chiefs' multi-faceted attack that kept the Broncos' defense on its heels. Defensively, the Chiefs made their mark with an interception from Drue Tranquill, which helped shift the momentum in their favor. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Tranquill's pick set up another quick touchdown, extending Kansas City's lead and leaving the Broncos struggling to catch up. Despite Jahdae Barron's solid tackling efforts for Denver, the Chiefs' relentless offense proved too much to handle, sealing a strong start to the season.
