In a thrilling season opener, the Green Bay Packers decisively beat the Seattle Seahawks 56-34, showcasing their offensive dominance right out of the gate. With both teams looking to set the tone for the 2027 season, the Packers proved too powerful, scoring early and often to secure the victory. Quarterback Jordan Love was the standout performer, throwing for an impressive 379 yards and a staggering seven touchdown passes, demonstrating his command of the offense. Jonathon Brooks contributed on the ground with 52 rushing yards, while Seattle's Jaxon Smith-Njigba led all receivers with 139 yards, but it was the Packers' aerial assault that ultimately won the day. On the defensive side, Green Bay made its presence felt with key plays that shifted momentum. Edgerrin Cooper's two interceptions were pivotal in thwarting Seattle's attempts to stage a comeback, while Evan Williams led the team with four total tackles, providing crucial support. The turning point came in the second quarter when Cooper's second interception set up another quick score for Green Bay, effectively putting the game out of reach for the Seahawks.
