The Pittsburgh Steelers cruised to a commanding 56-20 victory over the Denver Broncos in Week 2 of the 2027 season. With this win, the Steelers continue to establish themselves as a force in the league, while the Broncos face questions about their defensive strategy after a tough outing at home. Offensively, the Steelers were on fire, led by a staggering performance from James Cook III, who racked up an incredible 367 rushing yards. Bo Nix of the Broncos also had a notable showing, throwing for 197 yards and a touchdown, but his efforts were overshadowed by the explosive Steelers' ground game. The receiving corps found success, with Evan Engram leading Denver with 99 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Pittsburgh's relentless attack. The Steelers' defense played a vital role in the outcome, forcing key turnovers and applying pressure throughout the game. Cam Heyward notched a sack, while Kevin Byard III intercepted a pass, both contributing to a suffocating defensive effort. The turning point came late in the first half when Pittsburgh's relentless defense stifled a Broncos drive, allowing the Steelers to extend their lead to a decisive three-touchdown margin before halftime.
