The Houston Texans topped the Indianapolis Colts 33-21 in a Week 3 showdown of the 2027 season, improving their record as they look to solidify their playoff aspirations. This victory was crucial for the Texans, who aimed to maintain momentum early in the season against a division rival. C.J. Stroud led the Texans' offensive charge, throwing for 242 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers effectively. Nico Collins was the standout target, racking up 90 receiving yards, while Josh Jacobs contributed on the ground with 56 rushing yards, aiding in Houston’s balanced offensive attack. Defensively, the Texans were solid, with Jalen Pitre leading the way with seven total tackles, helping to stifle the Colts' offensive efforts. The game's turning point came when Stroud connected for a touchdown in the second quarter, allowing Houston to take a lead they would not relinquish. While Charvarius Ward Sr. intercepted two passes for Indianapolis, it wasn't enough to overcome the Texans’ strong performance on both sides of the ball.
