In a decisive Week 4 matchup, the Minnesota Vikings topped the Denver Broncos with a commanding 38-16 victory. The win not only boosts the Vikings’ confidence but also solidifies their position in the competitive landscape of the 2027 season. J.J. McCarthy led the way for Minnesota, throwing for 273 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with his receivers. Jeremiah Smith was his primary target, racking up an impressive 194 receiving yards that kept the Broncos' defense on high alert throughout the game. Despite a modest ground game highlighted by Rueben Owens II's 29 rushing yards, the Vikings' aerial assault proved more than enough to secure the win. Defensively, the Vikings were relentless, with Byron Murphy Jr. stealing the spotlight by snagging two interceptions that shifted momentum in Minnesota's favor. James Pierre’s five total tackles added to the Vikings' strong defensive performance, limiting the Broncos' chances to mount a comeback. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when McCarthy's quick touchdown pass to Smith effectively put the game out of reach for Denver, sealing their fate early.
