In a commanding performance, the Miami Dolphins topped the Buffalo Bills 43-25 in Week 8 of the 2027 season, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams looking to strengthen their postseason bids, the Dolphins delivered a decisive victory on their home turf. Nico Iamaleava was the star of the show for Miami, throwing for 298 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. His top target, George Pickens, had a standout game, racking up 163 receiving yards and proving to be a pivotal asset in the passing game. Meanwhile, Rico Dowdle led the Bills on the ground, but his 53 rushing yards were not enough to keep pace with Miami's explosive attack. Defensively, the Dolphins made critical plays to stifle the Bills' momentum, with Chris Johnson leading the charge with nine total tackles. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Miami's defense forced a turnover on downs, allowing Iamaleava to capitalize immediately with a touchdown pass, extending their lead and shifting the game's momentum in their favor. Despite a strong effort from Greg Rousseau, who recorded two sacks for Buffalo, it was Miami's overall defensive cohesion that ultimately sealed the game.
