In a commanding display, the New Orleans Saints topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers 70-14 in Week 9 of the 2027 season. This victory not only solidifies the Saints' dominance in the league but also sends a clear message to their competitors as they eye the playoffs. Taylen Green led the Saints’ offensive onslaught, throwing for an astonishing 574 yards and seven touchdowns, showcasing his elite quarterbacking skills. Meanwhile, Kewan Lacy added a strong ground game with 132 rushing yards, while Dont'e Thornton Jr. erupted for 300 receiving yards, making him a nightmare for the Buccaneers' secondary. The Saints’ offense was firing on all cylinders, leaving Tampa Bay scrambling to keep up. Defensively, the Saints were equally impressive, with Joey Bosa recording 2.5 sacks and Kool-Aid McKinstry securing an interception. The turning point came early in the second quarter when Bosa's pressure forced a turnover, setting up Green for another quick touchdown. This play not only shifted the momentum but also demonstrated the Saints’ ability to dominate on both sides of the ball, ultimately leading to a lopsided victory.
