In a pivotal Week 11 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the Las Vegas Raiders with a final score of 24-14, solidifying their playoff ambitions as the season nears its conclusion. The victory was crucial for Washington, keeping them in the hunt for a favorable postseason position. Fernando Mendoza led the Raiders' offense, throwing for 184 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to move the ball downfield. However, it was Jacory Croskey-Merritt who stole the spotlight for Washington, racking up an impressive 179 rushing yards, proving to be a game-changing force in the running game. Marquis Johnson also shined for the Raiders, amassing 102 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome the Commanders' balanced attack. Defensively, the Commanders made significant contributions that played a key role in their victory. Nick Cross led the team with six total tackles, helping to stifle the Raiders' offensive momentum. A pivotal moment came when Sonny Styles intercepted Mendoza, halting a promising drive late in the game and allowing Washington to maintain control, ultimately sealing their win.
