In a thrilling Week 17 showdown, the Denver Broncos narrowly defeated the New England Patriots, 23-20, securing their playoff positioning as the regular season winds down. Both teams fought hard, knowing that a win was crucial for their postseason aspirations. Bo Nix led the Broncos with a stellar performance, throwing for 442 yards and connecting with Garrett Wilson for a standout 176 receiving yards. While Drake Maye managed to find the end zone for the Patriots with one touchdown pass, it was not enough to keep pace with Denver's explosive offense. De'Von Achane added a solid 81 rushing yards for New England, but the Broncos' air attack proved to be the difference maker. Defensively, the Patriots put up a strong fight with Craig Woodson recording 10 total tackles and Christian Gonzalez grabbing an interception. However, Denver's defense made key stops when it mattered most, limiting New England's scoring opportunities in the second half. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Broncos' defense held the Patriots to a field goal, allowing Denver to maintain their slim lead and ultimately secure the victory.
