In a hard-fought contest, the San Francisco 49ers narrowly defeated the Denver Broncos 28-21 in Week 4 of the 2026 season. Both teams came into the game looking to secure a crucial win, but it was the 49ers who ultimately emerged victorious, improving their record as they aim for playoff positioning. Bo Nix led the Broncos with an impressive performance, throwing for 287 yards and a touchdown, while Troy Franklin contributed significantly with 86 receiving yards. However, the day belonged to Christian McCaffrey, who dominated the ground game for the 49ers with 119 rushing yards, proving instrumental in keeping the chains moving and maintaining offensive momentum. Defensively, the 49ers made key plays that shifted the game's outcome, with Nick Bosa recording a sack and Deommodore Lenoir leading the team with four tackles. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the 49ers' defense stifled a Broncos drive, forcing a turnover on downs that sealed the victory and showcased San Francisco's ability to rise to the occasion when it mattered most.
