In a commanding performance, the Washington Commanders defeated the Seattle Seahawks 35-13 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. The victory not only boosts the Commanders' confidence but also solidifies their position in the early playoff picture as they look to make a statement this season. Sam Darnold led the Seahawks' offensive efforts, throwing for 202 yards and one touchdown, while Zach Charbonnet added a solid 82 rushing yards. However, it was Terry McLaurin who shined for Washington, contributing 65 receiving yards and making critical catches that kept the chains moving for the Commanders. Defensively, Washington's Sonny Styles was a standout with 10 tackles, anchoring a unit that limited Seattle's scoring opportunities. The turning point came when Jer'Zhan Newton recorded a crucial sack, forcing a turnover that shifted momentum firmly in favor of the Commanders. With their defense stepping up at vital moments, Washington was able to maintain control throughout the contest.
