In a thrilling season opener, the Baltimore Ravens narrowly defeated the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 35-28. This matchup set the tone for a competitive 2026 season, with both teams eager to establish their dominance early on. The Ravens showcased their offensive prowess, while the Colts fought valiantly but fell just short. Lamar Jackson was the star of the night for Baltimore, throwing for an impressive 351 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his dual-threat capabilities. Derrick Henry added a powerful presence in the backfield, rushing for 117 yards, while Zay Flowers emerged as a significant receiving threat, racking up 145 yards. The Ravens' offensive performance was a well-rounded display that kept the Colts on their heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Ravens made critical plays at pivotal moments, with Tavius Robinson leading the charge with 1.5 sacks and Jaylinn Hawkins snagging an interception that shifted the momentum in Baltimore’s favor. The turning point came late in the third quarter when Hawkins' interception halted a promising Colts drive, allowing the Ravens to extend their lead. Despite a strong effort from Akeem Davis-Gaither, who recorded 11 tackles for Indianapolis, it wasn’t enough to change the outcome as Baltimore held off the Colts for the win.
