In a decisive Week 12 matchup, the Washington Commanders topped the Arizona Cardinals 30-17, solidifying their playoff ambitions as the season heads into its final stretch. With both teams fighting for crucial positioning, this victory proved essential for Washington's postseason hopes. Leading the offensive charge for the Cardinals was quarterback Shedeur Sanders, who threw for 253 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to stretch the field. However, it was Jonathan Taylor's ground game that anchored the Commanders' offense, as he rushed for 86 yards, providing a balanced attack that kept the Cardinals' defense on its heels. Michael Wilson was a standout receiver for Arizona, racking up 147 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to overcome Washington's scoring prowess. Washington's defense played a pivotal role in the outcome, highlighted by an interception from Trey Amos that shifted momentum in the Commanders' favor. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Amos's pick halted a promising Arizona drive, allowing Washington to extend their lead just before halftime. Despite Kool-Aid McKinstry's ten tackles and Jack Gibbens' sack for the Cardinals, they couldn't contain the Commanders’ offensive rhythm, ultimately sealing their fate.
