In a crucial Week 5 matchup of the 2026 season, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers defeated the Dallas Cowboys with a final score of 31-19. This victory keeps the Buccaneers firmly in the playoff hunt, while the Cowboys will need to regroup after a disappointing performance on their home turf. Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott led the way offensively, racking up 217 passing yards and throwing one touchdown. Ashton Jeanty contributed significantly on the ground with 89 rushing yards, while CeeDee Lamb was the top target in the air, finishing with 59 receiving yards. Despite these efforts, the Cowboys struggled to find the end zone consistently, which ultimately cost them the game. Tampa Bay's defense was a pivotal factor in securing the win, with Zyon McCollum stepping up to make an impressive 15 total tackles. Antoine Winfield Jr. was particularly impactful, snagging two interceptions that thwarted Dallas's drives and shifted momentum in favor of the Buccaneers. The turning point came in the third quarter when Winfield's second pick led to a touchdown drive, giving Tampa Bay the lead they would not relinquish.
