The Washington Commanders secured a decisive 35-14 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in Week 4 of the 2026 season, solidifying their position as a formidable contender. With this win, the Commanders improved their record and showcased their offensive firepower against a struggling Colts squad. Jonathan Taylor was the standout performer for Washington, racking up an impressive 233 rushing yards, which was pivotal in controlling the game's tempo. Anthony Richardson Sr. of the Colts put up a valiant effort with 183 passing yards and two touchdown passes, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with the Commanders' relentless ground attack. Josh Downs also shined for Indianapolis, logging 100 receiving yards, but the Colts' offense faced an uphill battle throughout the game. Defensively, the Commanders were dominant, highlighted by Nick Cross's two interceptions that thwarted potential scoring drives from the Colts. Odafe Oweh added pressure with a sack, contributing to a defensive effort that stifled Indianapolis. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Washington capitalized on Cross's second interception, converting it into a touchdown that widened their lead and set the tone for the remainder of the match.
