In a high-stakes season opener, the Dallas Cowboys topped the New York Giants with a commanding 37-21 victory. Both teams were looking to establish early momentum, but it was the Cowboys who made the most of their opportunities, showcasing their offensive firepower and strategic defense. Jaxson Dart led the Giants' passing attack with an impressive 316 yards and three touchdowns, connecting well with Trey Palmer who amassed 130 receiving yards. However, it was Trey Benson of the Cowboys who contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 52 yards, balancing the offensive efforts that ultimately overwhelmed the Giants. Defensively, the Cowboys made their mark with standout performances from Jalen Thompson, who recorded four total tackles, and Caleb Downs, who intercepted two passes, shifting the momentum in favor of Dallas. A crucial turning point came when Downs' second interception halted a Giants drive, allowing the Cowboys to capitalize and extend their lead, ultimately sealing the game.
