In a thrilling Week 13 showdown, the Buffalo Bills narrowly defeated the New England Patriots with a final score of 28-21. The stakes were high as both teams vie for playoff positioning, making this victory crucial for Buffalo as they look to solidify their standing in the AFC East. Drake Maye shone for the Patriots, throwing for 252 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to lead the offense effectively. Meanwhile, James Cook III led the charge for Buffalo on the ground, racking up 115 rushing yards to keep the Patriots' defense on its heels. Both offenses displayed their firepower, but it was the Bills who found the end zone when it mattered most. Defensively, the Patriots were not without their standout performances, particularly from Christian Gonzalez, who registered five total tackles, a sack, and an interception. However, the turning point in this contest came late in the fourth quarter when Buffalo's defense stifled New England's final drive, forcing a turnover on downs and sealing the victory. The Bills' ability to hold off a late surge from the Patriots proved crucial in this tightly contested matchup.
