In a tightly contested matchup, the New England Patriots narrowly defeated the Chicago Bears 25-22 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. Both teams were seeking a crucial win to bolster their playoff aspirations, but it was the Patriots who emerged victorious in a game marked by impressive performances on both sides of the ball. Caleb Williams showcased his skills for the Bears, throwing for 250 yards and two touchdowns, while Rome Odunze shone as his favorite target, racking up 121 receiving yards. On the ground, TreVeyon Henderson led the way for the Patriots with 88 rushing yards, providing a solid balance to their offensive attack and helping to keep the chains moving at critical moments. Defensively, the Bears were led by Coby Bryant, who made seven total tackles, and Austin Booker, who registered 1.5 sacks, applying pressure on the Patriots' quarterback. However, the turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Patriots' defense managed to hold off a late surge from Chicago, ultimately sealing the hard-fought victory and keeping their playoff hopes alive.
