The Detroit Lions secured a convincing 26-9 victory over the Arizona Cardinals in Week 5 of the 2026 season, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. With this win, the Lions continue to build momentum as they aim for a playoff spot, while the Cardinals struggle to find their footing this season. Quarterback Kyler Murray led the Lions' offense with an impressive performance, throwing for 255 yards and two touchdowns. Jahmyr Gibbs contributed significantly on the ground with 66 rushing yards, while Amon-Ra St. Brown shined in the passing game, racking up 107 receiving yards. The Lions' balanced attack kept the chains moving and put pressure on the Cardinals' defense throughout the game. Defensively, the Lions were able to stifle the Cardinals' offensive efforts, limiting them to just nine points. The turning point came early in the second half when a crucial stop allowed Detroit to extend their lead, forcing Arizona to play catch-up for the remainder of the game. Although Zaven Collins of the Cardinals led in tackles with eight and Josh Sweat added two sacks, it wasn't enough to turn the tide, as Detroit's defense held firm and secured the win.
