In a commanding performance, the New York Giants shut out the Washington Commanders with a final score of 38-0, securing their place as a formidable contender in the 2026 season. The Giants' victory not only showcased their offensive prowess but also highlighted their defensive dominance, as they nullified the Commanders' efforts entirely. Quarterback Jaxson Dart delivered an impressive outing, throwing for 248 yards and four touchdowns, leading the Giants' aerial assault with precision. Meanwhile, Cam Skattebo anchored the ground game with 93 rushing yards, while Malachi Fields added to the offensive fireworks with 81 receiving yards. The Giants' ability to mix up their playcalling kept the Commanders’ defense guessing throughout the game. On the defensive side, the Giants were equally impressive, with Brian Burns registering a sack and Dru Phillips notching an interception. The turning point came in the second quarter when Phillips' interception halted a potential scoring drive for the Commanders, allowing the Giants to extend their lead and maintain momentum. With this dominant performance, the Giants have sent a clear message to the league: they are a force to be reckoned with this season.
