In a decisive matchup, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers topped the Cleveland Browns 24-7 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The win places the Buccaneers in a strong position early in the season, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their claim as contenders in the league. Baker Mayfield led the charge for Tampa Bay, throwing for two touchdowns and providing an efficient aerial attack that kept the Browns' defense on their heels. Bucky Irving contributed significantly on the ground, rushing for 101 yards, while Ted Hurst III made key receptions, racking up 66 receiving yards. The Buccaneers' offense demonstrated a balanced attack that proved too much for Cleveland to handle. On the defensive side, Rueben Bain Jr. was a standout performer for Tampa Bay, recording two sacks that disrupted the Browns' offense and shifted momentum. The turning point came in the second quarter when Bain’s pressure led to a critical interception, allowing the Buccaneers to extend their lead and put the game out of reach. Cleveland's Grant Delpit made his presence felt with three total tackles, but it wasn’t enough to counter the relentless Buccaneers’ defense.
