In a dominating performance, the Detroit Lions topped the Buffalo Bills 47-19 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. The Lions came into this matchup looking to assert their dominance in the league, and they did just that, showcasing their offensive firepower and defensive prowess against a struggling Bills squad. Jahmyr Gibbs was the star of the show for Detroit, amassing an impressive 186 rushing yards, which set the tone for the Lions' offensive attack. Quarterback Jared Goff contributed with a solid passing game, while Buffalo's Josh Allen threw for 297 yards and two touchdowns, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Detroit's relentless scoring. On the defensive side, the Lions made their mark with an outstanding performance from D.J. Reed, who recorded four interceptions, turning the tide in favor of Detroit. The game's turning point came when Reed picked off Allen in the second quarter, leading to a quick touchdown that shifted momentum decisively towards the Lions. Despite Kaleb Elarms-Orr’s lone sack for Buffalo, the Bills' defense struggled to contain the Lions' explosive offense throughout the game.
