In a thrilling Week 5 matchup, the Dallas Cowboys topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a final score of 49-35, securing a crucial win in the 2026 season. This victory not only boosts the Cowboys' playoff aspirations but also establishes their dominance in a high-scoring affair that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Cowboys quarterback Drake Maye delivered a standout performance, throwing for an impressive 441 yards and connecting for six touchdowns. His precision and poise in the pocket were instrumental in building a lead that the Buccaneers struggled to overcome. On the other side, Tampa Bay's Travis Etienne Jr. rushed for 141 yards, while CeeDee Lamb shone as a receiving threat with 175 yards, but their efforts fell short against the relentless Dallas offense. The Cowboys' defense made critical stops, highlighted by Chamarri Conner's five total tackles, which helped contain Tampa Bay's momentum. A pivotal moment came late in the second quarter when Dallas forced a turnover, allowing them to extend their lead to 21 points. Despite a strong effort from the Buccaneers' defense, including two interceptions from Evan Williams and 1.5 sacks by Alex Highsmith, they couldn't keep pace with Dallas' explosive attack.
