In a tightly contested matchup, the Green Bay Packers topped the Atlanta Falcons with a final score of 24-16, securing their second win of the season. The stakes were high for both teams as they aimed to establish early momentum in the 2026 season, but the Packers proved too formidable at home. Derrick Henry was the standout performer for Green Bay, rushing for 130 yards and consistently breaking through the Falcons' defensive line. Malik Willis put up a valiant effort for Atlanta, accumulating 202 passing yards, while Mike Evans led the receiving corps with 84 yards. However, the Packers' offense managed to convert key opportunities, keeping the Falcons at bay. Defensively, the Packers made crucial plays that shifted the momentum of the game. Will Johnson led the charge with eight total tackles, while Chris Jones added 1.5 sacks, pressuring Willis throughout the game. The game’s turning point came when Kool-Aid McKinstry intercepted a pass in the third quarter, setting up a touchdown that would ultimately seal the victory for Green Bay.
