In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions defeated the Green Bay Packers 37-8 in Week 7 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for playoff positioning, the Lions solidified their standing with this decisive victory at home. Quarterback Jared Goff was in fine form, throwing for 303 yards and three touchdowns, leading a potent Lions offense that consistently found success against the Packers' defense. Jameson Williams was a standout receiver, racking up 122 yards on the day, proving to be a reliable target for Goff throughout the game. Meanwhile, Josh Jacobs led the Packers' rushing attack with 78 yards, but it wasn't nearly enough to keep pace with the Lions' offensive onslaught. Defensively, the Lions put together a strong effort, highlighted by Jack Campbell's seven total tackles and D.J. Reed's crucial interception. The turning point came early in the second half, when the Lions capitalized on a turnover to extend their lead, leaving the Packers struggling to recover. With three sacks from Devonte Wyatt, the Packers' offense was harried all game, contributing to their inability to mount a successful comeback.
