In a decisive Week 7 matchup, the Green Bay Packers overwhelmed the Detroit Lions with a commanding 48-14 victory. With both teams vying for momentum in the 2026 season, the Packers showcased their offensive firepower, leaving the Lions struggling to keep pace. Jordan Love led the charge for Green Bay, throwing for four touchdowns while accumulating a total of 273 passing yards. Isaac Guerendo added a solid ground game with 63 rushing yards, while the Lions’ Amon-Ra St. Brown made waves with 153 receiving yards, but it wasn’t enough to turn the tide for Detroit. Jared Goff did put up respectable numbers, finishing with 309 passing yards, but the Lions' offense was unable to capitalize on their opportunities. Defensively, the Packers made their presence felt, with Evan Williams recording three total tackles and an interception that shifted the momentum in their favor. The turning point came in the second quarter when Lukas Van Ness sacked Goff, forcing a fumble that Green Bay recovered, leading to a quick touchdown and extending their lead. This defensive play was crucial, as it not only stifled Detroit's drive but also ignited the Packers' explosive offense, sealing the game well before the final whistle.
