In a high-scoring affair, the Miami Dolphins toppled the Kansas City Chiefs 57-32 in Week 3 of the 2026 season, showcasing their offensive prowess and solidifying their place in the early playoff conversation. The Dolphins' victory was crucial, as it not only improved their record but also demonstrated their ability to compete against elite teams like Kansas City. Derrick Henry was the star of the night for Miami, rushing for an impressive 193 yards and finding the end zone, while quarterback Tua Tagovailoa connected with his receivers effectively to keep the chains moving. Patrick Mahomes, despite the loss, delivered a standout performance with 328 passing yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his elite ability but ultimately falling short in a battle of high-powered offenses. Jeff Caldwell also made his mark with a stellar 150 receiving yards for the Chiefs. Defensively, the Dolphins made critical plays that shifted momentum, particularly with Xavier Woods' two interceptions, which thwarted Kansas City's scoring opportunities. Matt Milano added pressure with two sacks, disrupting Mahomes' rhythm and forcing mistakes that contributed significantly to Miami's dominant performance. The turning point came in the second quarter when the Dolphins capitalized on a turnover, allowing them to build a lead that proved insurmountable for the Chiefs.
