In a tightly contested Week 2 matchup, the Denver Broncos narrowly defeated the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 28-27. Both teams entered the game looking to solidify their positions early in the season, but it was the Broncos who emerged victorious in this thrilling showdown. Quarterback Bo Nix was the standout performer for Denver, throwing for an impressive 361 yards and four touchdowns, showcasing his ability to connect with receivers downfield. Troy Franklin was Nix's primary target, racking up 239 receiving yards and proving to be a game-changer for the Broncos’ offense. Meanwhile, Bhayshul Tuten led the Jaguars' ground game with 81 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to overcome Denver's offensive firepower. Defensively, the Jaguars were led by Jarrian Jones with four total tackles and Josh Hines-Allen, who recorded 2.5 sacks, putting pressure on Nix throughout the game. However, the turning point came in the fourth quarter when Nix connected with Franklin for a crucial touchdown, giving Denver the lead they would not relinquish. Despite a valiant effort from the Jaguars, including an interception by Troy Andersen, they fell just short as time expired.
