The New York Jets kicked off the 2026 season with a solid 27-14 victory over the Tennessee Titans. This Week 1 matchup set the tone for both teams, as the Jets showcased their offensive prowess while the Titans looked to build momentum early in the season. Kirk Cousins led the charge for the Jets, passing for 185 yards and throwing a touchdown, while Mike Washington Jr. dominated on the ground with 101 rushing yards. George Pickens was a reliable target, racking up 72 receiving yards and contributing to the Jets' balanced attack that kept the Titans' defense on its heels throughout the game. Defensively, the Jets made a significant impact, with Calais Campbell recording three sacks that disrupted the Titans' rhythm. The turning point came in the second half when Campbell's relentless pressure led to a critical turnover, allowing the Jets to extend their lead and ultimately secure the win. Despite a commendable effort from Tennessee's Cor'Dale Flott and Anthony Hill Jr., the Jets' defense proved too formidable for the Titans to overcome.
