The Pittsburgh Steelers held off the Indianapolis Colts with a final score of 20-13 in a tightly contested Week 5 matchup of the 2026 season. With playoff implications looming, the Steelers secured a crucial victory at home, improving their standing in the league while handing the Colts a setback in their pursuit of a postseason berth. Pittsburgh’s offense leaned heavily on the veteran arm of Aaron Rodgers, who threw for 189 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his experience in crucial moments. DK Metcalf was a standout target, racking up 77 receiving yards and providing key plays to keep drives alive. Despite a solid performance from Jonathan Taylor, who led the Colts with 65 rushing yards, the Colts struggled to find the end zone consistently. On defense, the Steelers made critical plays that shifted the momentum in their favor, particularly through Jamel Dean's interception, which halted a promising Colts drive. The Colts’ defense, anchored by DeForest Buckner's 1.5 sacks, kept the game close, but it was the Steelers' ability to capitalize on turnovers and control the clock that ultimately determined the outcome. The turning point came late in the game when the Steelers' defense stifled a potential game-tying drive from the Colts, sealing the victory in front of an energized home crowd.
