The Buffalo Bills opened the 2027 season with a decisive 17-3 victory over the Atlanta Falcons, showcasing their dominance on both sides of the ball. With this win, the Bills set the tone for what they hope will be a successful campaign, while the Falcons will need to regroup after a lackluster performance in their home opener. Josh Allen led the Bills’ offense with a strong showing, throwing for 225 yards and a touchdown, while DJ Moore emerged as his top target, racking up 87 receiving yards. Despite the Falcons' defense putting up a fight, Bijan Robinson’s 80 rushing yards were not enough to spark a comeback, leaving Atlanta's offense stagnant throughout the game. Defensively, the Bills were able to stifle the Falcons, with Deone Walker recording a crucial sack that disrupted Atlanta's rhythm at a pivotal moment. The turning point came in the second quarter when Allen connected with Moore for a touchdown, extending the lead and forcing the Falcons to play catch-up. With a solid performance from the Bills' defense, including an interception by Jessie Bates III for Atlanta, the game ultimately tilted in favor of Buffalo, who maintained control to the final whistle.
