In a decisive Week 5 matchup, the Houston Texans topped the Jacksonville Jaguars with a final score of 31-14, solidifying their position in the playoff race. With both teams vying for a crucial win, the Texans delivered an impressive performance on both sides of the ball. Leading the charge for Houston was their standout receiver, who racked up 125 receiving yards, showcasing his ability to stretch the field and create big plays. The Texans’ passing game was efficient, with their quarterback throwing for 222 yards, while Trevor Lawrence kept the Jaguars competitive with two touchdown passes, though it ultimately wasn't enough to secure a victory. Defensively, the Texans made key stops that shifted the momentum in their favor, including a pivotal sack that disrupted Jacksonville's rhythm in the second half. Josh Hines-Allen of the Jaguars led the defense with nine total tackles, but Houston's ability to capitalize on opportunities and maintain pressure proved decisive, allowing them to hold off any late-game comeback attempts from Jacksonville.
