The Chicago Bears topped the Minnesota Vikings 35-13 in a decisive Week 8 matchup, solidifying their position in the playoff race as the 2027 season approaches the halfway mark. With this victory, the Bears showcased their offensive prowess, while the Vikings struggled to keep pace on both sides of the ball. Caleb Williams was the standout performer for Chicago, throwing for 247 yards and three touchdowns, effectively orchestrating the Bears' offensive game plan. Meanwhile, D'Andre Swift added a solid ground game with 67 rushing yards, while Luther Burden III emerged as a key target, racking up 127 receiving yards. This trio of offensive weapons proved too much for the Vikings to handle throughout the contest. Defensively, the Bears made crucial plays to stifle Minnesota's efforts, highlighted by Trevon Diggs' interception that shifted momentum in favor of Chicago. Although the Vikings' Dallas Turner recorded two sacks, their inability to generate consistent pressure on Williams allowed the Bears to find their rhythm. The game's turning point came in the second quarter when Diggs' interception set up a quick touchdown, giving Chicago a commanding lead they would not relinquish.
