In a commanding performance, the New Orleans Saints topped the Arizona Cardinals 51-33 in Week 16 of the 2026 season. With playoff positioning on the line, the Saints delivered a decisive victory that showcased their offensive prowess and solidified their status as a contender. Quarterback Tyler Shough led the way for New Orleans, throwing for three touchdowns while Alvin Kamara dominated the ground game with 122 rushing yards. The Saints' passing attack was balanced, as they spread the ball effectively to keep the Cardinals' defense guessing. Although Arizona's Will Levis threw for an impressive 337 yards, it wasn’t enough to keep pace with the high-scoring Saints. Defensively, New Orleans made critical plays that turned the tide in their favor. Chase Young recorded 1.5 sacks, applying pressure that disrupted Arizona's rhythm, while Jonas Sanker added an interception to halt a Cardinals drive. The Saints’ defense was instrumental in forcing turnovers and limiting Arizona's scoring opportunities, particularly during a crucial stretch in the second half when they turned a narrow lead into a commanding advantage.
