In a high-scoring affair, the Denver Broncos triumphed over the Carolina Panthers with a final score of 52-34, marking a crucial victory in Week 9 of the 2026 season. Both teams entered the matchup looking to bolster their playoff hopes, but it was the Broncos who emerged victorious, showcasing a dominant offensive performance. Jahmyr Gibbs was the star of the night for Denver, racking up an astonishing 458 rushing yards, a feat that propelled his team to victory and kept the Panthers' defense on their heels. Meanwhile, Carolina's Bryce Young put on a show of his own, throwing for 289 yards and three touchdowns, but it ultimately wasn't enough to overcome Denver’s relentless ground game. Christian Watson also shined for the Panthers, securing 163 receiving yards, but the offensive firepower from the Broncos proved too much to handle. Defensively, the Broncos made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor, highlighted by Talanoa Hufanga's interception that halted a potential scoring drive for Carolina. JuJu Brents contributed with a critical sack that further pressured the Panthers’ offense. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Denver’s defense forced a turnover, setting up Gibbs for a long touchdown run that put the game out of reach.
