In a decisive Week 7 showdown, the Carolina Panthers topped the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with a final score of 45-21. This victory not only showcased the Panthers' offensive prowess but also solidified their position in the race for a playoff spot in the 2026 season. Bryce Young put on a dazzling performance, throwing for 409 yards and five touchdowns, leading the Panthers’ high-octane offense. George Pickens emerged as his favorite target, racking up 148 receiving yards and finding the end zone, while the Buccaneers struggled to establish any rhythm on offense, with Bucky Irving managing only 38 rushing yards. Defensively, the Panthers were effective in limiting the Buccaneers’ scoring opportunities, with Nic Scourton leading the charge with four total tackles. The game's turning point came when Nick Scott intercepted a pass, shifting momentum firmly in Carolina's favor and allowing them to pull away decisively in the second half. Rueben Bain Jr. provided some resistance with a sack for Tampa Bay, but it wasn't enough to derail the Panthers' impressive victory.
