The Indianapolis Colts triumphed over the Minnesota Vikings with a commanding 42-21 victory in Week 7 of the 2026 season. This win solidifies the Colts' position in the playoff race, while the Vikings now face mounting pressure as the season progresses. Colts quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr. showcased his talent by throwing for four touchdowns, leading his offense efficiently throughout the game. Meanwhile, Jonathan Taylor dominated on the ground, racking up an impressive 142 rushing yards, while his counterpart in the Vikings' offense, Kyler Murray, threw for a staggering 394 yards but couldn't convert those yards into enough points. Justin Jefferson made a significant impact as well, tallying 140 receiving yards, but it wasn't enough to keep pace with Richardson and the Colts. Defensively, the Colts made key plays that shifted momentum in their favor. A.J. Haulcy's interception proved pivotal, halting a Vikings drive and allowing the Colts to extend their lead. Marcus Jones was a standout with a team-high eight tackles, contributing to a defensive effort that limited the Vikings' scoring opportunities, especially in critical moments when they needed to respond. The combination of offensive firepower and timely defensive plays ultimately secured the Colts' dominant victory.
