The Indianapolis Colts topped the Washington Commanders 28-20 in a tightly contested Week 4 matchup of the 2026 season. With both teams looking to establish momentum early in the year, the Colts came away with a crucial victory that keeps them in the playoff conversation. Leading the charge for Indianapolis was quarterback Anthony Richardson Sr, who threw for 162 yards and two touchdowns, showcasing his ability to make key plays under pressure. Running back Jonathan Taylor added a strong ground game, racking up 93 rushing yards, while veteran receiver Keenan Allen contributed with 60 receiving yards, providing reliable targets for Richardson throughout the game. Defensively, the Colts made their mark with DeForest Buckner registering a sack, which was pivotal in stalling Washington's drives. The game’s turning point came late in the fourth quarter when the Colts' defense held strong, forcing a crucial turnover on downs that allowed Indianapolis to maintain their lead. Meanwhile, Leo Chenal of the Commanders was a standout performer on defense, recording nine total tackles, but it wasn't enough to turn the tide in Washington's favor.
