In a dominating performance, the Dallas Cowboys toppled the Washington Commanders with a final score of 62-30 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This high-octane matchup showcased the Cowboys' offensive firepower, setting the tone for an impressive campaign ahead. Dak Prescott was nothing short of spectacular, throwing for 503 yards and an astonishing eight touchdowns, a performance that will certainly be remembered. KaVontae Turpin also shined, racking up 186 receiving yards and providing a consistent target for Prescott throughout the game. On the ground, Jacory Croskey-Merritt led the Commanders with 85 rushing yards, but it was clear that Washington's offense struggled to keep pace with the explosive Cowboys. Defensively, the Cowboys made their mark with key contributions from Cobie Durant, who recorded four total tackles and two interceptions, turning the tide in Dallas' favor. Quinnen Williams added a sack to the mix, applying pressure that disrupted Washington's rhythm. The game's turning point came early in the second quarter when Durant's second interception set up another quick touchdown for the Cowboys, effectively sealing the fate of the Commanders and allowing Dallas to push ahead uncontested.
