In a dominant display, the New York Jets topped the Green Bay Packers 49-14 in Week 2 of the 2026 season. This victory sets a strong tone for the Jets as they look to build momentum early in the campaign, while the Packers will need to regroup after a disappointing performance. Cade Klubnik was the star of the show for the Jets, throwing for an impressive 297 yards and five touchdowns, showcasing his ability to command the offense. Jeff Caldwell added to the aerial assault with 108 receiving yards, providing Klubnik with a reliable target downfield. On the ground, the Packers' Josh Jacobs put up a commendable 115 rushing yards, but it wasn’t enough to keep pace with New York’s explosive offense. Defensively, the Jets made their presence felt, with VJ Payne recording a sack and D'Angelo Ponds snagging an interception to thwart any hopes of a Green Bay comeback. The turning point came in the second quarter when Klubnik connected on two quick touchdown passes, stretching the lead to 28-7 and leaving the Packers struggling to recover. With a combination of offensive prowess and defensive stops, the Jets firmly established their dominance in this matchup.
