In a commanding performance to kick off the 2026 season, the Jacksonville Jaguars topped the Cleveland Browns 24-9. The win sets a positive tone for the Jaguars as they aim to build momentum early in the year. Cleveland, on the other hand, will need to regroup after a lackluster offensive showing. Trevor Lawrence led the charge for Jacksonville, throwing for 200 yards and three touchdowns, showcasing his ability to find the end zone with precision. Meanwhile, Bhayshul Tuten added a solid ground game with 76 rushing yards, while Brian Thomas Jr. was an unstoppable force in the passing attack, racking up an impressive 191 receiving yards. This offensive trio was instrumental in establishing a lead that Cleveland struggled to overcome. Defensively, the Jaguars were formidable, with Foyesade Oluokun leading the team with three total tackles. Travon Walker made his presence felt with a sack, and Antonio Johnson sealed the game with an interception. The turning point came when Johnson picked off a pass midway through the fourth quarter, effectively quashing any hopes of a Browns comeback and securing Jacksonville's victory.
