The Cleveland Browns topped the Atlanta Falcons 34-17 in a decisive Week 14 matchup that solidified their playoff positioning. With both teams vying for a critical win, the Browns showcased their dominance, particularly in the passing game, to outlast the Falcons. Cleveland quarterback Bryce Young was a standout performer, throwing for 258 yards and two touchdowns, leading his team efficiently down the field. Khalil Shakir emerged as a reliable target, racking up 102 receiving yards and making crucial catches that kept drives alive. Meanwhile, the Falcons struggled to find their rhythm, with Trey Benson managing only 60 rushing yards on the ground. Defensively, the Browns were relentless, highlighted by Maxx Crosby's sack and Brian Branch's interception that shifted momentum in their favor. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Branch's pick set up a quick score, allowing Cleveland to take a commanding lead that the Falcons could never overcome. Drue Tranquill led the Falcons’ defense with eight tackles, but it was not enough to counter the Browns’ offensive firepower.
