In a commanding performance, the Detroit Lions topped the Atlanta Falcons 47-18 in Week 13 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff aspirations. The Lions' offense showcased its firepower, while the Falcons struggled to keep pace, ultimately falling short in front of their home crowd. Quarterback Sam Darnold was the standout for Detroit, throwing for 236 yards and four touchdowns, effectively leading the charge. His favorite target, Mike Evans, made an impact with 101 receiving yards, consistently finding openings in the Falcons' secondary. The Lions' dynamic offense kept Atlanta on its heels throughout the game, making it difficult for the Falcons to mount any sustained drives. Defensively, the Lions were effective in limiting the Falcons' scoring opportunities, forcing them to play catch-up. Atlanta's Trey Benson managed 82 rushing yards, but it was not enough to shift the momentum. The turning point came late in the second quarter when Detroit intercepted a pass, allowing them to extend their lead and put the game out of reach.
