In a nail-biter that came down to the wire, the Tampa Bay Buccaneers narrowly defeated the Minnesota Vikings 21-20 in Week 3 of the 2026 season. With both teams vying for a crucial win early in the season, this matchup was a test of resilience and execution on the field. Taylen Green of the Buccaneers led the charge, throwing for 256 yards and a touchdown, showcasing his ability to manage the game effectively. On the ground, Jeremiyah Love kept the Vikings competitive with 85 rushing yards, but it was Trey Palmer's 66 receiving yards that helped Tampa Bay maintain their offensive momentum when it mattered most. Defensively, the Buccaneers were bolstered by Tyler Owens, who stood out with nine total tackles, providing crucial stops throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Tampa Bay’s defense held strong, denying the Vikings critical yardage and securing the win. Zack Baun of the Vikings did his part with two sacks, but it was not enough to overcome the Buccaneers' late-game defensive stand.
