Defensively, Harrison Smith led New Orleans with four total tackles, anchoring a unit that made crucial stops throughout the game. The turning point came late in the fourth quarter when Christian Gonzalez intercepted a pass, giving the Lions a glimmer of hope, but ultimately it was the Saints' ability to hold off Detroit's final drive that secured their victory.
