In a decisive victory, the Detroit Lions topped the Chicago Bears 35-13 in Week 17 of the 2026 season, solidifying their playoff position and showcasing their dominance on the field. The Lions entered this matchup with a chance to secure a stronger postseason seeding, and they certainly delivered. Offensively, the Lions' scoring was highlighted by a balanced attack, while Mecole Hardman led the receiving group with 48 yards. Caleb Williams of the Bears managed to throw for 136 yards and one touchdown, but it was Blake Corum's 75 rushing yards that stood out in a losing effort. Despite the Bears' individual performances, they struggled to keep pace with the Lions’ explosive offense. Defensively, Derrick Moore was a standout for the Lions, recording an impressive 2.5 sacks that disrupted the Bears' offensive rhythm. The turning point came in the second quarter when Moore’s relentless pressure led to a crucial turnover, allowing the Lions to capitalize and extend their lead. Chicago's defense, despite Devin Bush’s seven total tackles, was unable to contain Detroit's scoring onslaught, ultimately sealing the game's outcome.
